A quick guide to making the most of your RevZone evaluation (see below).

Step 1 Installation After the installation start SolidWorks. Go to Tools/Addins in SolidWorks and select RevZone from the list.
Step 2 License RevZone needs a registration code to run. At this stage press Evaluation button which will allow you to use the software for 30 days.
Step 3 Database files RevZone is a database based PDM system. After the installation, use System Administrator to it setup. You need to have SQL Server 2000 or MSDE or SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2005 Express in a server to setup the SQL version. SQL Server Express can be obtained free from www.microsoft.com/sql
Step 4 Add users RevZone comes with "Administrator" and "guest" defined user accounts. You will need to add new user(s) or alternatively use the "guest" account to work with RevZone. The "Administrator" account cannot be used as general purpose account but only to administer other user accounts/rights and other settings. To Create a new account, go to RevZone Menu / User Accounts Manager and click on Add User.
Step 5 Define project In order to start using RevZone you need to define a project. go to RevZone Options / Projects and click on New.
Complete all the steps and apply.

NOTE: The evaluation version has been compiled in the most basic functional setup in order to prevent large download sizes.
Some non essential files and samples have been removed and some of the features have also been disabled,
however we are confident that this setup will provide you with a very good idea on how RevZone works.
